Community Forest Firewood Available

The Trinity County Resource Conservation District (TCRCD) has begun selling vouchers for cut and split, dry Douglas fir firewood from the Weaverville Community Forest. All revenues from the sale help fund additional stewardship projects in the Community Forest, ranging from forest thinning and fuels reduction to trail construction and maintenance.

Vouchers are being sold on a first-come, first-served basis at the TCRCD office, #30 Horseshoe Lane in Weaverville, just off Highway 3. There is a limit of two vouchers per household. Vouchers start at $175 for one cord of split, seasoned Douglas fir firewood. A special discount is available for senior citizens. Local delivery may be available at an additional cost.
