Trinity River Clean Up!

September 9th, 2023

Come trek across land and water with us to remove trash during the Trinity River Clean Up on September 9th, 2023. Volunteers will meet at Pigeon Point Campground in Helena at 9 am and return at 3 pm for a free BBQ. We will disperse to clean sections of the river, roadsides, swimming holes, and campgrounds to improve habitats that impact the Trinity River. Gloves, trash pickers, trash bags, and safety equipment will be provided. Children under the age of 16 may not retrieve trash from roadsides, but can be assigned alternative locations. Please bring appropriate work wear, closed-toed shoes, a refillable water bottle, and a lunch. Want to beat the heat? Bring Your Own Boat and join 6 Rivers Rafting on the river to scoop and snorkel trash from the waterway! This event is sponsored by the Trinity County Resource Conservation District, The United States Forest Service, The Bureau of Land Management, and CalTrans.
