Sustainable Agriculture

Trinity County Resource Conservation District is committed to promoting sustainable agricultural practices. The District has supports and hosts workshops to discuss water conservation, prevent erosion, permitting, and general best management practices for agriculture. The District partnerships with The Watershed Research and Training Center, Flower Daze Farm, Trinity County Department of Environmental Compliance, and Down River Consulting to conduct these workshops.

The District is a non-regulatory agency receiving funding through the California Association of Resource Conservation Districts form the Resource Legacy Fund to promote and develop the Growing Responsible And Socially Sustainable Cannabis (GRASS-C) program. GRASS-C is a self-assessment program which is developing into a sustainable agriculture certification program. The Companion Guide is a supporting document that provides useful links to permitting questions and links to resources for best management practices for all of the categories assessed in GRASS-C.
